Product details

Rated at 20kW on liquid propane and 18kW on natural gas, this standby system is sized to cover a whole house rather than a handful of essential circuits. The set converts between the two fuels in the field, and the RXT 200-amp automatic transfer switch is part of the package.

The Command PRO engine comes from Kohler's commercial line and uses hydraulic valve lifters, which removes the break-in period and the valve adjustments that go with solid lifters. PowerBoost supplies extra starting output for heavy motor loads such as an air conditioning compressor. The enclosure is aluminum for outdoor service, and the controller brings the load across roughly ten seconds after an outage begins.
